Dynamics 365 Implementation Test Lead

We are currently seeking an experienced Implementation Test Lead to support the delivery and implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance (D365 Finance) for our client. As a vital part of the delivery team, you will help develop and execute a comprehensive test strategy to deploy the D365 Finance solution. This role requires a strong background in system integration testing, UAT coordination, and test planning within the context of ERP or financial systems implementation.

What you will be doing

  • Developing a comprehensive test strategy across the MS Dynamics ecosystem, including Dataverse to ensure data integrity, Power BI for reporting, Power Apps for custom UI applications, and Power Automate for facilitating ingestion of data
  • Preparing a detailed test plan, including test scripts and scenarios aligned with functional specifications
  • Managing test execution, mentoring junior testers, and ensuring quality and consistency across test artifacts 
  • Developing and maintaining test automation frameworks
  • Collaborating and coordinating across cross-functional teams, including functional and technical consultants, to triage and ensure timely launches
  • Tracking and reporting testing progress, defect status, and test coverage metrics to present to stakeholders
  • Supporting go-live readiness by overseeing defect resolution and verifying successful data migration and system configuration

What you need to be considered for this role (required)

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience leading software testing efforts in large-scale ERP or financial system implementations
  • Experience consulting with external clients on complex projects, including in leadership roles
  • Experience coordinating UAT and collaborating with stakeholders to validate business processes
  • Familiarity with basic SQL and JSON/XML structures for data validation and troubleshooting
  • Extensive knowledge of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
  • Familiarity with legacy system migration and data conversion strategies
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and reporting skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • US Citizenship required (dual citizens are ineligible)
  • The position will require a Public Trust background investigation

What makes you stand out from the crowd (desired)

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and enterprise testing methodologies
  • Microsoft-certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate or other similar certifications
  • Experience working with Dynamics Finance in the US Government Community Cloud (GCC)
  • Knowledge of the Regression Suite Automation Tool (RSAT)
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and accounting principles
  • Knowledge of Power Platform and other Microsoft technologies

Location: Washington, DC (Fully Remote)
Base Compensation: We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, and we are open to discussing compensation based on your qualifications and experience
Other Compensation: 4% contribution to 401(k), performance bonus, profit-sharing
