, ,We are seeking an experienced Financial Systems Accounting professional to support the delivery and implementation of an ERP system for our client. You will be responsible for leading the financial accounting structure of the ERP implementation and ensuring its successful design, configuration, and support, aligning with business objectives. This role requires a combination of federal financial accounting knowledge, functional ERP/federal financial system expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills to drive the implementation strategy and deliver value to the organization.
What you will be doing
- Providing subject matter expertise and overseeing fund account setup and maintenance in an ERP system implementation project
- Providing implementation and operational support for General Ledger (GL) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions
- Managing the implementation of new ERP system features, performance tuning, updates, and upgrades, ensuring a smooth transition and data integrity
- Providing training and support to end-users, ensuring efficient system usage
- Working with multiple stakeholder groups to determine priorities and build consensus
- Articulating ideas and thoughts in a clear, structured, and compelling way to stakeholders
- Reconciling various accounts with attention to detail and accuracy
What you need to be considered for this role (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience with federal financial accounting
- Extensive experience in General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Posting Profiles, and Fund accounting for the federal government
- Proficiency in ERP systems implementation
- Experience consulting with external clients on complex projects, including in leadership roles
- Demonstrated excellence in communicating and presenting complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in written form
- Strong knowledge of financial systems and business solution implementations
- Strong knowledge of issue diagnosing and troubleshooting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A drive to excel professionally and to guide and inspire others
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
What makes you stand out from the crowd (desired)
- Strong understanding of financial processes and accounting principles
- Knowledge of Momentum Financials and/or Microsoft D365 Finance architecture, modules, and components, specifically Accounts Receivables
- Experience working with Dynamics Finance in the US Government Community Cloud (GCC)

Position: Financial Systems Accounting SME
Location: Washington, DC (Fully Remote)
Base Compensation: We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, and we are open to discussing compensation based on your qualifications and experience
